*sigh. I don’t really know what I wanna say. But I’m pretty sure I want to say something/a few things. For now, I’ll talk about school and motivation.

You know what kinda/really sucks? Going to class, paying attention and not doing as well as you expected to do. And then comparing your performance to the performance of people that don’t go to class just lowers your confidence more because.. somehow, they do better than you (even if they procrastinate more). But, I admit, comparing myself to others is no good. If I’m not doing well, I have no one to blame but myself.

I mean.. I’m TRYING to stay on track when it comes to classes.. And I thought I was doing pretty well. Apparently not. Because I eventually fell behind. ACK. Sometimes, I feel like all those nights that I stay up late and all those moments I freak out are wasted time. I need to learn how to prevent them from happening–I need to pace myself. Plan a schedule and STICK TO IT.

As for motivation.. I need more of it. I always think, “I can do this.” But do I really push myself hard enough to? Psh, NO. What am I thinking?! How am I going to get into Med school with B’s in most of my science classes. I hate myself for not working harder these past years. Not really hate, I guess. But I’m regretting it. Can I really do this? Yes. Am I gonna work for it? Obviously. I don’t have an option. I need this.

So.. some motivational supply:

I actually have some work to catch up on already.. and the midterm rush has just recently ended. Balls. (hahah, I haven’t heard anyone use “balls” in that context in a long time).

Anywaaaay, I have advising next Friday. EEEEEK! So, I need to figure out my four year plan (forreal this time) and hopefully really figure out what I’m gonna be majoring/minoring in. I’m mostly set on being a Family Resources major and a Biology minor. But someone totally guilt tripped me when I told them about not majoring in a science (MedTech). Frick. MOST LIKELY not gonna change my mind, though. We’ll see..

My thoughts are ridiculously scattered.

Arghhh. Right now, I’m walking around with my AirCast aka the RoboCast because my ankles feel weird. I wish I had two of these because both my ankles are aching. I’m sooo tired. Today, we went on our last ecology hike. I was dreading it, but this hike was sooo much better than the last one even though we went all the way up this time. It was breezier and we took more breaks. I think I was walking/hiking slow, but psh I’m a klutz. I messed up my left ankle because of volleyball camp when I was jumping a hurdle that’s shin-height. And my right ankle got effed because I was attempting to skateboard for the first time ever on a slippery surface. Who does that?! Me. Yep.

Anyway.. Today could have been even better had I gotten more sleep last night. But, damn. I am a procrastinator. And I hate myself for it. It took me too long to finish my work for the lab. Pain in the ass. I didn’t even sleep on my bed. Procrastination is a horrible habit. And I need overcome it now.

Right nooow, I’m still feeling dizzy/tired even though I napped for almost two hours. I wanna go back to sleep badly. But I need to do my ecology journal and orgo work. A lot of orgo work.

I need to manage myself more.. Why do I always wait until the last minute?

Sooo, I’ve decided to try something new. When we moved to Hawaii last year, I was aiming to keep a consistent blog site so I could just throw my thoughts somewhere. But then xanga got too complicated, and I got lazy and didn’t blog more than five times.
